Historical half timber houses with a visitor's center on the ground floor of number 1+2 and a brief history exhibition upstairs of the town of Quedlinburg from early medieval times to present day. Even though it was just some text and photos, it was very appreciated that the text is also provided with English translations. There is a room that shows a scene from a well known fairy tale. Moreover, from 1. December to 23. December of each year, they have an Advent Calendar tradition. The idea is to meet in front of 1+2 Finkenherd at 4:30pm, then someone will lead the group to one of the local homes, who will be the "door" of the advent calendar for that day. A small surprise, like a song or a small performance, will be provided by the host of the day. It is all in German, but it is a really cute local tradition and especially great for children.
Cuando se viene caminando desde el castillo, se entra a un lugar que parece sacado de un libro de cuentos. Las pequeas casas, mantenidas con un nivel de detalle increbles, deslumbran al viajero.
